$130/hr + GST + 18% fuel surcharge as a baseline. 4-hour minimum on every job. Half-day, full-day and project work quoted per job. Itemised invoice with GST-inclusive total — no hidden fees.

What's the minimum hire?

4 hours. Most civil and commercial jobs run longer than that. If your job genuinely fits in under 4 hours, we'll still quote it — just at the 4-hour minimum.

Do I need a licence to hire the truck?

No. Our HR-licensed operator drives the truck on every job — this isn't a self-drive rental. You just need clear site access and a hazard brief; we handle everything to do with the vehicle.

What areas do you cover?

All Gold Coast suburbs from Tweed Heads to Coomera, plus surrounding areas. A travel surcharge may apply outside the metro area.

Do you take small / one-off residential jobs?

Our focus is civil and commercial work. We'll consider larger residential or owner-builder jobs case-by-case — just call to discuss. Smaller one-off rentals or casual hire isn't our model.

What if bad weather cancels the job?

We'll reschedule at no extra cost — just let us know at least 6 hours ahead. If we can't safely operate on the day, we work with you to find the next available slot.

Tipper hire Tweed Heads for civil contractors and commercial builders working the QLD–NSW border. Based in Mermaid Beach 25 minutes north, we cover Tweed Heads (2485), Banora Point, Kingscliff and the surrounding NSW border zone in our normal weekly rotation.

SITRAK G5S 6×4 with HR-licensed driver supplied. Operated hire — we drive, you don't. Particularly useful for projects that span both sides of the border (a builder doing a Coolangatta–Tweed development, a civil contractor running infrastructure between the two states) where coordinating two trucks would be friction you don't need.

Pricing: $130/hr + GST + 18% fuel surcharge, 4-hour minimum. $200 deposit, $2,000 bond, $5,000 insurance excess. Mon–Sat 6am to 5pm at standard rate.

Cross-border insurance and compliance

Our commercial vehicle insurance (Truck Assist policy 63764428) covers QLD and NSW. Public liability (BizCover, $20M cover, policy 118U557369BPK) is national. We can run jobs on either side of the border without you having to think about jurisdiction.

For Tweed Heads-only work (no QLD leg), our standard rate applies — no border surcharge. For projects that need us cycling between Coolangatta and Tweed across a single day, you're billed for on-site time only, not per crossing.

Tweed Heads, Tweed Heads South, Banora Point, Kingscliff, Bilambil. Cross-border with Coolangatta, Bilinga, Kirra (QLD side). For jobs further south into the Northern Rivers (Pottsville, Cabarita, Hastings Point), we'll quote per job — usually doable but the travel-time line gets bigger.

Local to the border zone

Mermaid Beach base is 25 min north — Tweed is in our regular weekly rotation. Same-week booking is normal, not a special event.

Is there a surcharge for NSW work?

No. Tweed Heads is in our standard service area at the same $130/hr + 18% fuel + GST rate as our Gold Coast suburbs.

Can you do Coolangatta in the same booking as Tweed Heads?

Yes — we treat Coolangatta–Bilinga–Kirra (QLD side) and Tweed Heads–Banora Point–Kingscliff (NSW side) as one operational zone. Cross-border in the same job, billed on hourly rate.

What about jobs further south into Pottsville or Cabarita?

Doable but quoted per job — the travel-time line gets bigger past Kingscliff. Send the brief, we'll quote honestly.

Are you insured for NSW work?

Yes — commercial vehicle insurance (Truck Assist 63764428) covers both states, public liability ($20M, BizCover 118U557369BPK) is national. Certificate of Currency available on request.

What's the booking lead time for Tweed?

Same-week is normal. Tweed sits in our regular weekly rotation alongside Coolangatta and Palm Beach.

Do you handle NSW EPA-regulated waste?

No — same as our QLD policy. Asbestos and contaminated material need a specialist EPA NSW licence we don't hold. Specify in the brief if there's any chance the load includes those.

Will you take fill from a Tweed site to a QLD tip?

Yes — common combo. Cross-border tipping is fine within our insurance area. We'll pick the most cost-effective tip site for the load and pass the fee through at cost.
