Tipper truck loaded with excavation spoil being removed from a Gold Coast civil site

Fill & Spoil Removal — Gold Coast

$130/hr + GST + 18% fuel surcharge. 4-hour minimum. Mon–Sat 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM. SITRAK G5S 6×4 with HR-licensed driver supplied — not a self-drive rental.

Fill and spoil removal across the Gold Coast

Fill removal Gold Coast done by an operated tipper truck — SITRAK G5S 6×4, ~10m³ bed, ~15-tonne payload, HR-licensed driver included. Excavation spoil off your civil site, fill from a knock-down rebuild, dirt from a subdivision lot — we cycle it from the cut to the tip without you having to manage the truck side.

Civil contractors and commercial builders across the Gold Coast use us for multi-load spoil and fill removal. The 6×4 fits the access on most subdivision lots and older suburb streets where a truck-and-dog combo can't. We pair well with excavators on dig-out work — load the truck, we tip, we're back.

Pricing: $130/hr + GST + 18% fuel surcharge, 4-hour minimum. Tip fees passed through at cost (we don't mark them up). $200 deposit, $2,000 bond, $5,000 insurance excess. Itemised GST invoice.

What we take, what we don't

What we take: excavation spoil, fill, soil, sand, rock spoil, demolition rubble, brick, concrete, construction waste, green waste from civil sites.

What we don't: asbestos, friable hazardous waste, EPA-regulated contaminated material. Specify in the brief if there's any chance the load includes those — they need a specialist licence we don't hold, and getting it wrong creates real liability for both parties.

Tip arrangements

We have established tipping arrangements across the Gold Coast — landfills, recycling sites, soil-recovery yards. Tip fees are passed through at cost on your invoice, itemised separately from our hourly rate. No mark-up on dump fees, ever.

For builders running clean recyclable spoil (uncontaminated soil, clean fill), we can tip to soil-recovery sites at lower per-tonne rates than landfill. Worth flagging in the brief if the spoil is clean.

What's included in $130/hr

Itemised so you can plug it straight into your project budget. Plus 18% fuel surcharge and GST on top.

  • SITRAK G5S 6×4, ~10m³ bed, ~15-tonne payload
  • Hourly rate covers all on-site time + tipping cycles

Why operated, not dry hire

Multi-load efficiency

10m³ bed clears most subdivision spoil in 2 to 3 loads. Operator handles the cycling — you focus on the dig-out and we keep the truck moving.

Right size for spoil access

6×4 fits tighter civil sites a truck-and-dog combo can't. Useful on older Gold Coast streets and constrained subdivision lots where access is the gating factor.

Pass-through tip fees

We don't mark up dump fees. The line on your invoice is what we paid. Clean spoil to soil-recovery sites, mixed waste to landfill — best rate for the load.

Frequently asked

How do you charge — by load or by hour?

Hourly. $130/hr + 18% fuel + GST, plus tip fees at cost. Most multi-load spoil jobs work out cheaper this way than per-load pricing because the cycling is efficient.

How much spoil fits in one load?

About 10m³ by volume, roughly 15 tonnes by weight (varies by material density — wet sand is heavier than dry, road base is heavier than fill).

Can you handle a one-off small fill removal job?

Yes — at the 4-hour minimum. If the job is genuinely sub-4-hours, you'll still pay the minimum. For homeowners doing a one-off small load, a smaller mini-tipper service is usually cheaper.

Will you take asbestos or contaminated waste?

No. EPA-regulated material needs a specialist licence we don't hold. If there's any chance the spoil includes asbestos sheeting or contaminated soil, flag it in the brief — we'll refer you to an operator who's licensed for it.

Can you tip at a specific site we have an arrangement with?

Yes — if you have a project tip site or a builder's recycling yard you want us to use, just specify. We'll fold the travel time into the hourly rate, no surcharge.

What if the load weight exceeds payload?

We won't overload — fines start at $5,000 per breach plus 6 demerit points on the operator's licence. If the spoil is denser than expected, we'll do an extra load rather than risk an overload.

Will you pass through receipts for tip fees?

Yes — receipts attached to the invoice or sent separately if your accounts team needs them itemised. No mark-up.
